The American fashion model Alison Nix was born in 1988 in Denver. After signing with Ford Models in 2005, she appeared in a Teen Vogue editorial photographed by Frederike Helwik and debuted at the spring Marc Jacobs, Marni and Missoni shows in New York and Milan.
Assignments from Catherine Malandrino, Cynthia Rowley, Marc by Marc Jacobs and Yigal Azrouel followed. In 2006 lots of things changed: on the one hand she left Ford Models and signed with Women Management, on the other hand Nix cut her hair into a short bob.
Soon after she did several editorial-shootings for nearly all the important fashion magazines such as Harper’s Bazaar, Numéro, German Vogue, Allure, Italian Marie Claire. Also the covers of French Blast, Italy Flair and Japanese Spur Beauty had been graced with the face of Alison Nix.
In addition to these editorial highs she became the face of Cacharel (2007) and Valentino Couture (2008) as well as for Neiman Marcus’s spring 2008 catalogue.
Nix has also walked for the couture shows of Christian Dior , Armani privé and Elie Saab in Paris and for designers such as John Galliano, Christian Dior and Givenchy.
