Born January 14, 1979 in Midwest City, Oklahoma the American model Angela Lindvall was discovered by an IMG scout while modeling in a fashion show in Kansas City in 1993. Soon after that she signed with IMG New York. A few years ago no one thought that this football playing and tree climbing girl could be a coveted supermodel.
After her break in 1994 she appeared in several top fashion magazines all over the world. Lindvall graced the cover of i-D, Italian Vogue, W, Dazed & Confused, British Vogue, Italian Elle, French Vogue and was shot for editorials in Numéro as well as numerous ad campaigns for Dolce&Gabbana, Prada, Valentino or Roberto Cavalli.
In 1999 she replaced Stella Tennant as the face of Chanel, and became also the face of Christian Dior, Missoni spring ad campaign(2003), Calvin Klein and others.
Karl Lagerfeld photographed her for Fendi and also Steven Meisel, Patrick Demarchellier, Nick Knight and Mario Testino worked together with the guitar playing and sketching Lindvall. Add to her list of print, she took the runways by storm. In 2000 she belongs to the most demanded models, Lindvall walked for numerous designers including nearly all stars in the fashion industry such as Max Mara, Hugo Boss, DKNY, Miu Miu, Prada, Oscar de la Renta, Stella McCartney and Calvin Klein. Apart from that Angela gained recognition in the Haute Couture shows of John Galliano, Versace, Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent and Christian Dior. Since 2000 she belongs to the group of models for Victoria´s Secret and walks annually in the show.
Two years later she delivered her first child, William Dakota and a second son, William followed in 2005. But her live wasn’t immune against strokes. Angela’s sister Audrey, also a model, died after a bike accident, but her career goes on. Allongside David Gandy she became the face of Zara (2007) and the spring ad campaign of Versace.
Her estimated salary per day amounts $25,000 to $50,000.
Next to her career as a model, Lindvall acted in the movie Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and got a role in the horror movie Pearblossom. She is also the founder and president of the Collage Foundation, an organization promoting sustainability and environmentally conscious among young people as well as she get involved with environmentalism.
