Born 1982 in Lisbon, Portuguesian Armando Cabral started his career in the fashion industry after his sister urged him to try modeling. In 2001 Cabral signed with an agency in Portugal, but not until 2006 he moved to New York to pursue modeling full time. Shortly after Cabral became the face of Cloak and then walked the spring shows of Dior Homme, Louis Vuitton and Thierry Mugler in 2006 as well as shows for brands such as Emanuel Ungaro, Calvin Klein and Dries van Noten in Milan and Paris. Greg Kadel photographed him for a Numéro Homme editorial, and also the New York Times’ T Style magazine requested Cabral for a editorial shooting. Furthermore Cabral worked together with Mario Testino for the winter issue of V Man 2008. TheImagist.com featured Cabral as a rising star.
