Born in 1963 in New York City Collier Schorr studied at the School of Visiual Arts, New York. Her work is a mixture of photographic realism, fiction and youthful fantasy. Best known for her portraits of adolescent men and women Collier Schorr has exhibited internationally at prestigious venues, including the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis, the Jewish Museum in New York, the Stedeljik Museum in Amsterdam and the Consorcio Salamanca in Salamanca, Spain. Collier is currently based in Brooklyn, New York.
