Photographer
Born and raised in Massachusetts, New England, Deborah Turbeville moved to New York aged 20, to work with designer Claire McCardell. Working as a fashion editor for a while Deborah soon realized that her heart was in photography and she has been taken photos ever since. Spending a great deal of time in St. Petersburg, Russia she received a fullbright scholarship for a lecture series on Photography at the Baltic School of Photography in Russia in 2002 and worked as a teacher herself at Smolney Institute also in St. Petersburg in 2005. Traveling through Europe she took beautiful photos of people and places. Deborah is an inspiration for many young artists because of her direction, advice, wisdom and ever-youthful outlook on the way she visualizes life.
