Born in Sweden, Mikael Jansson has been a role model for generations of Swedish fashion photographers. Being Richard Avedon’s assistant in the mid-1980s, he went on to became one of the most respected and coveted photographers in today‘s fashion world. His work appeared in magazines including Italian, American, French, British and Japanese Vogue, Numéro, Dutch, Arena Homme Plus and Big Magazine. He has also shot advertising campaigns for The Gap, Donna Karan, Giorgio Armani, Calvin Klein, Hugo Boss, Burberry and many others. Mikael has portrayed everyone from Swedish royalty and his work has been exhibited in galleries around the world. He is currently based in Stockholm.
