Paul James Hay has been fascinated by photographs ever since he was a young boy growing up in Australia. As he grew older he became aware of just how effectively photography documents time and life’s moments. His first real relationship with a serious camera clicked in at the age of 21, while living in Japan working as a model where he gained a great deal of experience working in front of the camera. Quickly the camera became his best friend as he travelled the world with his modelling assignments.
In 2004 he returned to Australia and became Feature Photographer for a new Australian lifestyle magazine. After two years he decided to head back into the playground of the world. His journey took him across two continents, with stints in Taipei, Istanbul, Milan, Hamburg and London.
Paul has now found a new homebase in Hamburg. Apart from his travel, landscape and portrait photography, he has now expanded his work into fashionart, journalism and motion pictures.
