Paul Rowland is an artist. He began painting at a young age and continued to develop his artistic ability throughout his adolescence eventually earning a fine arts degree from the University of Arkansas.
He immersed himself in the intense early eighties art scene of NY but decided to step away from what was fast becoming overly extreme.
While waiting tables at a small restaurant, Paul was scouted by an agent and embarked on a new career as a model. After a year and a half , he switched from modeling to booking.
He founded Women Management in 1988 with the vision of presenting a progressive beauty aesthetic which would engage and stimulate the creative minds behind the images that grace the magazines and runways of all of the fashion world. He began to photograph his models as a mean of cultivating the aesthetic. His passion for photography was reawakened. It has become an integral part of his artistic progression by allowing him to explore and transcend his creative boundaries through the camera.
