Frida Weyer Spring/Summer 2010 – Mellow Dreams
by Katharina Withelm posted on July 03, 2009Right after the mongrels in common show, we caught the Mercedes-Benz shuttle bus to the Frida Weyer show, which took place offsite at the Chamäleon Varieté.
The show kicked off with a handsome guy, showing his acrobatic skills on a trapeze above the runway.
Then, the models came down the runway in 50’s style fluffy, mellow ice-cream coloured picture-perfect gowns in vanilla, strawberry and mint shades.
Dresses made of the finest silk and chiffon were equipped with playful details such as satin ribbons at the waist, overstated wide frills at the neck line and frills in the form of huge blooms.
Intricate white lace adorned the top of long dresses with loose chiffon skirts as well as short, tight silk satin dresses worn with satin pumps.
The icing on the cake was definitely the ‘wedding dress‘ which closed the show.
The model came up in a short, flared white gown with a wide, teetering skirt that was entirely overdrawn with delicate white lace, and white frilly blooms. The black ribbon at the waist brought down the association with a wedding cake a little.
