It's Fashion Week Time
by Yana Strizhevskaya posted on January 27, 2009It is official now, the 4th Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Berlin has kicked off with a press conference held at one of Berlin’s most noble hotels, Hotel de Rome this morning.
From January 28th until February 1st 2009 Berlin will turn to the center of the fashion world’s attention presenting the Fall/ Winter 2009 collections of international and home grown designer labels. Most of you will already know what to expect, but for those who are not in the loop, this is what’s coming: BOSS BLACK, EASTPAK, JOOP!, Kilian Kerner, Kaviar Gauche,Sisi Wasabi, Bernhard Willhelm, Felder Felder and Michalsky just to name a few (a full list of participating designers you will find here).
The second time in the row the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Berlin is choosing Bebelplatz as the prime location for the event. Right in the heart of the city, Bebelplatz is and it looks like it will stay the main location for the shows.
New season, new face. Julia Stegner has replaced Eva Padberg as the official MBFWB Fall Winter 2009 ambassador.
Looking back at how it all began, the MBFWB started with 14 fashion shows in 2007 and has grown to 25 shows this season. It is a great mix of top labels and young designers blending into a unique show with a typical Berlin flair.
So much to look forward to. We can’t wait to see the first show.
