Seemingly every pair of cargo pants or oversized hodey is stamped with the ‘streetwear’ logo to make their wearing public feel as if they can demand the same respect that a gang member from the streets of Harlem calls with his gun in hand and trousers around his knees. The story however, changes completely when you have the likes of Cypress Hill, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dog, Outkast AND Method Man on your speed dial like the LA based streetwear label, Joker Brand do.
Born when members from hip hop heavyweight acts Cypress Hill and Soul Assassins committed to help Mr. Cartoon to support his multi-tasking artistic projects of unique tattooing and his clothing brand, Joker Brand Clothing, the 14 years since established label has gone from strength to strength and their C.E.O even directs music videos for the likes of D12 and Cypress Hill in his spare time!
