No Ifs: My First Fashion Show Review and Already Bashing..
by Floor Serbrock posted on January 20, 2010My very first show ever. But considering this isn‘t a personal blog but a FASHION one, I won‘t go into tangents here and describe all the excitement I felt, the racing thoughts, and my eager eyes.
No Ifs: my very first show ever. And to be brutally honest… mehh. Not the show itself, that was incredible, but the actual collection. I couldn‘t get the abbreviation “C&A” out of my head for the entire duration of the show. This applied mainly to the boys, who were dressed in very casual- in my opinion too casual- jeans, sweaters, boots and big scarves. The fabrics weren‘t very impressive which probably contributed greatly to the “C&A! C&A!!” roaming through my head. The girls were more impressive- the big toupee-d hair was definitely a groovy detail. One outfit really caught my eye- a long, all black dress with flowing sleeves. Very gothic. It didn‘t seem to fit with the rest of the collection which boasted a lot of thin fabric denims, checkers, brightly colored tights, and moccasin-moonboots, which I‘m really not really a fan of. In all honesty, I find it very difficult to write something about the collection without totally bashing it. I suppose if casual and slightly preppy is your thing, then No Ifs could be the one for you. Its plus point is that the garments are definitely highly wearable. Personally however, I like my fashion to be a bit more fun.
