Day 3: Agyness Deyn Struts Her Stuff at Ellus
by Camila Schwarz posted on January 22, 2009This winter Ellus took inspiration from an unlikely source: miners and construction workers! they sent models down the runway in washed-out denim overalls, boiler-suits and even patent leather aprons that harkened back to the days of the black-smith. That other staple of workmen – the plaid shirt – was also abundantly visible,.
Ellus has always been a brand with an established jeans profile, nobody does it better, in fact this year they are making it very clear! (Shame for their competition!)
The denim comes enriched in many combinations of bleached tones, coloured shades and different pigments so you can choose from the light grey to the deep blue and the all time favorite, black.
The “miner” look comes with black stains, the “deep mine” immerses in black. The “dark rock” international trend, is a blue with a smoky black a color scraped look.
Agyness Deyn, with her streetwise look, was the perfect choice for Ellus – she opened and closed the show – and looked perfect in her boiler-suit – she made a very sexy plumber thats for sure!
It looks like everybody felt like getting their hands dirty!
