A Very Vogue Home At Julia Restoin-Roitfeld‘s

by Rie Cau posted on May 14, 2009

Seriously, the human cloning process has never been simpler: a very Vogue mother, a very Vogue daughter and a very Vogue home. You have to admit: it is 100% logical.

Julia Restoin-Roitfeld, the art director and daughter of Carine Roitfeld and Christian Restoin, was recently raided by the Photographer Todd Selby at home in her Noho Loft in New York City.

The outcome of this is an incredible set of 64 photographs that reveals the high life of the 28-year-old: from her felicitous choice of home decoration to beauty and, of course, our beloved fashion.

As a pedigree of fashion, it is no surprise when we found this Parsons graduate living in a very vogue home – sleek, modern and stylish.

In her home, we naturally spotted a leaning tower of Vogue Paris and everything of similar tastes and style, i.e. her extraordinary pink glass skull.

Beauty-wise, we discovered a range of products from Embryolisse, Mario Badescu, Kiehl‘s, Bioderma and Yves Saint Laurent all hidden in the medicine cabinet. Surely, who else should we take beauty tips from than this beautiful dark-haired socialite, muse and model right in front of us?

Like mother, like daughter. Ms. Restoin-Roitfeld‘s wardrobe is exploded with one of the most splendid selection of items that simply exceeds our imagination of extravaganza and indulgence: exquisite bags made of exotic animal skin, lavish snow white fur coats, rich black velvet and lace eye shades, dazzling jewellery in intoxicating forms of poisonous spiders and slithering snakes, and last but not least, a sky high stack of to-die-for shoes. Watch out particularly for those devilishly dangerous heels from Balenciaga, Manolo Blahnik and Yves Saint Laurent.

Manifestly, we can see that she did not only get her luscious looks and everlasting unrequited love from one of the best dressed woman in the world, but also her mother‘s great eye for style.

Yet, unlike her mother, this refined rock-chic is not only made of everything vogue, but also of youth and mischief. We spied her little toy collection of a Monchhichi doll dressed playfully in a sunny yellow beanie with matching sweater, her adorable Mickey Mouse mug and her little black bunny.

Well… Until the day when scientists discover how to digitally transmit genes of beautiful looks, great tastes and a wardrobe made of excessive wonders, I am going to remain hideously green with envy, as I drown myself in a sea of admiration for this trés chic femme and her trés chic home.
