Maybe I’m getting older or maybe because of all of my years of experience at the ripe old age of 27, I am getting more and more into the minimal yet totally chic look on the opposite sex. Don’t get me wrong, fair reader, I have not totally polarised and now only fancy boys who let their clothes wear them – not at all! With my new found appreciation it is great to stumble upon New York’s own, Brooklyn Tailors, who create 100% bespoke threads for men (and soon women too!) to create an altogether elegant but entirely relaxed look (no pengiun suits please!). The company comes thanks to Brenna Boyce and Daniel Lewis, whom are from Brooklyn’s Clinton Hill neighbourhood.

The duo’s full collection includes coats, suits, jeans and shirts, boasting clever details like mother-of-pearl buttons and Japanese oxford cloth. Supreme. Best of all – most of the pieces are easy to wash too – so you don’t have to worry about only being able to wear something once a month following when you can be bothered to visit the dry cleaners!
