An almost surprising choice for Prada campaign exclusives late last year, Ymre has ushered in a new era of imagery for the brand — one that the SS09 campaign certainly follows. This great start provides her with much fuel to turn her career into one of Sasha Pivovarova proportions, and we look forward to what she can show us next.

Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott have certainly taken note as they present her in some of their most impressionable recent work. Making her mark as the most in-demand model of Indian origin today, Lakshmi has opened the doors for further diversity in the industry. Starting off as one of Riccardo Tisci’s muses is certainly a wonderful beginning, and she has since moved into further territories, such as stories in Vogue Paris or campaigns for H&M and MaxMara.
