Definitely No Country For Old Men

by Beeke Melcher posted on July 14, 2009

So – every other week we have to check out some nice male editorials.

Lonesome looking boy – hot or not? GQ Style Italy Spring / Summer 2009 issue has definitely got some very nicely staged editorial going on. It’s quite obvious that Mister Marcel Castenmiller is hot, whilst his facial expression makes him look a little geeky in some shots. Apparently, the editorial is based on the Oscar winning movie ‘No Country For Old Men’ whereas Marcel doesn’t look a tiny bit that frightening.

Jonathan Frantini photographed DNA agency’s Marcel in an abandoned Midwest city looking like his mommy left him behind. The styling by Allan Kennedy is a m

Cameron Diaz Does Madonna

by Beeke Melcher posted on July 13, 2009

As unbelievable as it may seen, this cover of V Magazine shows Cameron Diaz giving her best Madonna impression. Shot by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott, Cameron’s wearing the infamous Jean Paul Gaultier pointy cone bra. The cover was created to celebrate V’s 60th issue.

It took me absolutely ages to realise it was the former model turned ‘Miss All American Cuteness Comedy Girl’, Cameron Diaz, on the cover looking fiercer than ever before!

Dramatic Divas for V60

by Beeke Melcher posted on July 10, 2009

Once again Nicola Formichetti strikes back with his amazing styles with an outstanding V60 photo shoot.
Divalicious Constance & Jacquelyn Jablonski and one of our favorites Eniko Mihalik look fabulously sweeping from another decade.

Shot by Sebastian Faena ‘Forever Young’ gleams French romance in a melancholic Paris. Someday such a graceful madame! Though the rolling in the woods in the nude mustn’t be included!!

Black Magic In Vogue Russia

by Beeke Melcher posted on June 29, 2009

In a very atmospheric editorial, Canadian Meghan Collison and the exceptional German model, Karolin Wolter, give a great performance to the reader. Shot by Miguel Reveriego for Vogue Russia July 2009 issue, the two girls look like two dream dancers from another world. The light and shadow scenery underlines the contrariety of the blond and black haired beauties.

Stylist Marie Chaix did an amazing job dressing the girls up in an avant-garde fashion dream with stressed shoulders and killer heels! Karolin Wolter who walked 49 catwalks in her very first season is coming to Mercedes-Benz Fashionweek, too. Looking forward to see her live!

Abbey Lee Kershaw by Terry Richardson for Vogue Nippon

by Beeke Melcher posted on June 29, 2009

Hip Australian model Abbey Lee rocks it for Vogue Nippon’s July 2009 issue.
Once again, Terry Richardson orchestrates a laid back rock chic for the editorial “Sweet Child of Mine”. Seemingly a vice versa inspiration, the editorial reminds us of an ad campaign for ‘American Apparel’. Styled by Vogue Nippon’s regular contributor George Cortina, Abbey Lee is adorned with her shiny nose ring and new bangs.
Though Abbey Lee’s expression is really the same old thing throughout the editorial, the bad girl look suits her.
