Homemade book, rising star: Claudia Seiler in Brazil
by Maud & Pénélope . posted on February 10, 2009Vogue Italia, Dazed & Confused, i-D… the debate around the big ones’ latest covers and themes is going on and going wild almost everywhere today. Quite interesting but we just don’t feel passionate about it. Seems that some kind of british vibe (or even wave) is coming up, set to take the bookshops by storm. This being said, we’re flying off to Brazil and only come back to the famous three once we’ll now more about their contents.
We’re all about Claudia Seiler tonight and the world could stop turning at the minute that we wouldn’t be much affected. One of the most fascinating Brazilian of her times, building up a rather curious career. Not following the usual scheme, owing less to the “big cities” than to her home country. Regularly featured in the pages of Vogue or L’Officiel and leaving quite a strong mark on Rio’s catwalks this season, she’s already been involved in a couple of campaigns and should keep on getting some serious work on this front. Glossy paper loves her and it shows again in Elle by Rogiéro Cavalcanti. Most likely not the editorial of the century but it reminds us how much New York, Milan and Paris miss her. And it looks so Brazilian, so fresh… so relieving when times are getting so busy.
