Models at Work: Casting at Modelwerk, Hamburg
by Maud & Pénélope . posted on May 15, 2009The weekend is coming soon and we feel attracted by light-hearted topics. Or by anything which could change our mind from the grey weather and non-stop rain. Thinking of some sunny days in Hamburg a few weeks ago. Two days we spent visiting agencies, sitting more often on the backseats of a taxi cab than in front of a computer screen. We went back from this quick trip with a few good memories and bright ideas in our suitcases. And a few pictures, of course.
From the early hours of Monday morning to the last rays of sun on Tuesday evening we only lived in and for Hamburg. Our schedule was full. And was great. Especially Monday afternoon at Modelwerk where we had an incredible opportunity: some of their most promising new faces were at their offices for a quick interview. We only had one hour to meet with everyone but worked it out. Thanks to the bookers incredible energy and the girls’ attitude. Here you go, here are our favorites.
Discover one of their latest finds, Anne Peck, a young german lady scouted in the streets who’s just done her first tests. So fresh. Or have a brand new look at Dalia who was one of our Lexposed Faces, earlier this year. She signed with IMG Paris since and should arrive in town soon. Then Isabelle Sauer, everyone’s favorite and it’s easy to see why. She did her first tests with no other than "Michael Schwartz ":/photographers/michael-schwartz and her versatility is simply breathtaking. Her attitude too, we guess you’ll have news about her quite soon.
Also stay tuned for cute Kim Glaser who’s surprising in front of the camera. It seems she felt very comfortable and knows how to pose. Always a bonus for a model’s future. Same with Sandy Lowe who also seemed very cool and confident while striking a pose in front of a white wall. Brilliant.
Next one could be our personal favorite: ginger-haired Theresa Genth. She stayed a little longer at our table and we also took some extra snaps for a future feature. Laid-back with an incredible look, she caught our eyes and attention so easily. Unforgettable. Last but not least, sweet and sophisticated Tas, 18-years-old, discovered at Starbuck’s in Hamburg. She loves the camera and the camera loves her. She likes the atmosphere of shootings and when she doesn’t work, she draws. Just like us on happy Fridays. Off to draw now…
