Yulia Kharlapanova: Moschino and much, much more
by Maud & Pénélope . posted on February 04, 2009She is the face and even the faces of Moschino’s latest campaig by Patrick Demarchelier, gracing the pages of the most famous magazine worldwide on one of the photographer’s most inspired piece lately.
Yulia Kharlapanova did well on worldwide catwalks during S/S 09 collections. The big names she added on her list are almost countless from New York to Paris. Four hectic weeks walking for Prada, Lanvin, Burberry Prorsum, opening Jil Sander and closing Miu Miu. After such a breakthrough, everyone was waiting for some editorial work to turn it into a more perennial presence among the girl who counts. Six months later, we can easily say she strengthened her status by adding some sensational stories to her book, the same way as she did on the runways with this unusual ability to work out very different roles with quite a natural ease. From Dazed & Confused by David Slijper to Teen Vogue by Daniel Jackson. Most recent news include Hugo Boss Black F/W 09-10 in Berlin and a multi-girls campaign for Benetton by David Sims.
If Yulia is perfect muse for the brand fitting its aesthetic much influenced by the legacy of founder Franco Moschino, she’s also becoming a well-known multi-tasked model with much more in her book for now and tomorrow.
