Our Favorites At Dripbook
by Mertol Akinci posted on June 12, 2009As you all know, we have our new section titled ‘Our favorites at Dripbook’, and once again we have endevoured an incredible search of the highly gifted talents and professionals to bring them straight to you! It is always great fun to delve into such a rich-facetted and creative pool, watching them as they produce brand new pieces, getting bigger and bigger. It is a a privilege to see how a creative world is sharing their ideas to inspire each other – to re-think, re-create and collaborate.
Diana Baltazar – Fashion Styling
Mostly people see fashion as being about what can be worn and touched – but that’s not at all. Fashion is more about an impression that tries to reflect out a particular mood or feeling. At Diana’s works I definitely have this sort reflection – simply ingenious!
Chichi – Make Up Artist
The New York based artist with nine-years experience has already worked for Nylon, V Magazine, Vice, Hussein Chalayan and John Galliano just to name a few. I especially liked her minimalstic works – but make sure you check her other works. You wont be disappointed.
Cecilia Segura – Installation Art
She is an experimental artist, a graphic designer and a screen-printer. The Barcelona based artist took my attention with her bright blue installation for the Círculo de Bellas Artes de Palma. Easy and very cool!
Ali Larrey – Set Design
Again, one of my Dripbook all-tome favorite artists is from Spain. Her work is flawless and could not be a result of an accident. The general impression of her portrait works and close-ups are simply wonderful – A flux of emotions!
