Our Favorites At Dripbook
by Katharina Withelm posted on July 09, 2009It‘s time again for our favourites at dripbook.
As we have been flooded by fashion news in the last weeks, the Lexposure editorial heads decided to take a little break and come up with something different.
I was glad to find some really good work for food styling in dripbook this morning. As I was raised with a surrounding of excellent food culture, I am well versed in first-rate dinners, loads of gourmet cook books and of course culinary art and skills. Saying that, I am not the kind who would normally bang on about culinary art by its page full, but stranger things have happened!
So, let‘s narrow it down to food styling and food photography and the work of Johanna Lowe and Adrienne Anderson.
I think most people are not in the know about food designers and stylists. Fair enough to those though as food photography is a collaborative effort usually involving an art director, photographer and a food stylist, used for advertisements, packaging, menues and of course cookbooks.
The food stylists’ job is to make the food look so attractive and tasty, to make it palatable to us.
Well, I think Johanna and Adrienne did a great job, my mouth is watering now.
Time for lunch…
