A moody muse for modern days: Darya Kurovska in Rodeo magazine
by Maud & Pénélope . posted on February 24, 2009Raw, rough, fierce and pure. Without any compromise. Darya Kurovska is a rare blend and she only embodies a character of her own creation even if totally unaware of her gift. A bad girl that doens’t want to be a bad girl but doesn’t care about good girls going to heaven. Darya is what she is, walks how she walks, poses how she lives. It makes the difference on the runway, in magazines and, of course, not everyone will love it the way we do. It’s risky and tricky in a model’s career but nothing compares to her editorials. Delightful.
New guilty pleasure is in Rodeo magazine and was shot by Giuseppe Gasparin who captured the essence of his model. Never freakish and always freaky, ferocious without being aggressive, Darya brings back the real meaning of sensitive and romantic. It’s not as dark as her story by Terry Tsiolis in Vogue Russia (or her walk at Costello Tagliapietra…) but her moodiness remains of the same high intensity. Neither glamour nor gloomy, wild at heart, fealress and daring. Loads of potential, growing and going out of control. A modern muse.
