Genius and Androgynous: Daniela Kocianova in i-D

Who cares, after all, that Daniela Kocianova wasn’t on every runway when she gets prestigious editorials like this ? Of course we would lie if we say we didn’t expect to see more of her at least in London but that’s the way it is and the way it goes. This season more than ever, castings have been strange, hard to expect and… quite interesting. Being in high profile magazines doesn’t guarantee anything for the show season while walking a decent amount of coveted catwalks doesn’t always translate into editorials. Back to the mags, Daniela is certainly making her marks in the editorial world and getting three pages in i-D doesn’t hurt after appearing in Citizen K the same month. If the latter might cost only one little euro, its contents are way more expensive: castings are often ahead of the game and it’s one of the only magazine we actually read. In both editorials, Daniela is using of her naturally androgynous look in the most playful way. Let’s play and don’t stop.
