Inspiring Beauty at May 2009 issue Vogue US
by Anna Eimerl posted on April 14, 2009Kate Moss has reigned at the top of the fashion world for a long time now and it seems that era isnt about to end any time soon. For the May issue of US Vogue, she has teamed up with designer Marc Jacobs and pop star Justin Timberlake for the cover (which was shot by the legendary Annie Leibovitz) – entitled “Inspiring Beauty.” The golden Oscar de la Renta gown that Moss wears is incredible!
The cover stars all have on thing in common: New York’s Metropolitan Museum – which in May will open the much talked about ‘The Model As Muse’ exhibition, which of course Moss features heavily and Jacobs masterminded – it will spotlight 70 designers masterworks of haute couture and ready-to-wear and well as important fashion photography. Then there is also the Museum’s Annual Gala Benefit on May 4th, which Jacobs is head-chair of, along with Kate, Justin and Vogue’s editor-in chief Anna Wintour.
It’s always fun to see what everyone wears for the Gala since it’s the event of the season. The exhibition in New York will run from May 6-August 9 – if you’re in town, make sure you go see it!
