The Show Must Go On: Alla Kostromicheva in and on 10 Magazine
by Maud & Pénélope . posted on August 24, 2009She rocked our socks with her very uncanny way to hold her leg on a moody black and white picture by Cedric Buchet which turned out to be one of the most stunning covers of the season. And while the atmosphere might be moody, Alla is labeled by the magazine itself as one of the less moody model they’ve seen and the Ukrainian beauty is rather described as always smiling, never down and full of energy, even asking why every single model is not like her. We can testify from the few times we saw her quickly at the shows in Paris. We sensed something going on between Alla and 10, now it’s reality. She’s not only the cover-girl of their newest issue, she’s also featured twice in the magazine, had her interview in 10 questions and got the honour of the kindest words on a model we’ve ever read.
The least we can say is that she truly deserves everything that happens to her. She’s got the look, the charisma and a lovely, willing personality which surely shows on pictures as well. First story she graces was shot by Cedric Buchet (and styled by 10’s one and only Sophia Neophitou) too and is dedicated to Antonio Berardi. Could fit better for Alla, looking absolutely awesome in her outfits. Modern classicism in black and white and loads of pretty socks again. Delicate and daring, the right balance. Second story, also styled by Sophia Neophitou but shot by Richard Gray this time, takes a completely different way. Bold colors, fireworks fierce expressions from close-up face shots: we won’t see more, you’ll see soon.
