Lingering at #26 on our April rankings is Martinique native Sigrid Agren, who overtook the SS09 runways by storm and continued her dominance by opening 12 and closing 7 shows for the FW09 cycle. Not surprisingly, she received starring roles in the current Prada and Nicole Farhi campaigns, but there was still a significant absence in the major Vogue pages for this beauty, and thus she never broke the top 25 in the first quarter of this year.

Now, however, it seems that things are turning around for Sigrid in major ways. She has shown great improvement both on the catwalk and behind the camera, with a softer but still striking gaze that continues to floor clients and casting directors alike. And with at least three major FW09 campaigns already under her belt, one can definitely expect her to rise through the charts once we begin to calculate our July rankings. It may still be difficult to predict what the quantity or quality of her editorial work will be like in the upcoming months, but all estimates aside, her agencies — most notably New York Management — already have much to be proud of.
