Spring Summer 2010: Starting Off on the Right Foot

by Maud & Pénélope . posted on September 10, 2009

She was in our initial group of Lexposed Faces when we opened the section and it’s with a huge pleasure to start the season with her again. First reports fresh from the runways are currently arriving, including a very interesting and almost intriguing casting at BCBG Max Azria. Word was that new faces could have an extra chance in New York this season and rumor has it that it’s about to come true. Well, going beyond rumor right now as the first facts are available. Yulia Leontieva isn’t the only highlight of the show but we thought nobody else could embody the new vibe (new wave ?) and cheer us up for the fashion frenzy going to take place for about one month now. It seems that this season is starting off on the rightfoot.

Paris Part four: Last models review (but not Least)

by Maud & Pénélope . posted on March 14, 2009

Manish Arora is a place where we might look more at the outfits but keep our four eyes wide open on the casting. The clothes were colorful, the collection was dramatic as always but we’d dare to say wearable. Love that concept and it looked exactly the same about models. Expensive yet unexpectable. Angela Lindvall opened and closed, Viviane Orth offered us a true runway moment with her incredible walk (rythm, rythm and more rythm, never overdone and always graceful), Wanessa Milhomem who also did the show last season improved a lot with a much more confident look and Anna Arendshorst was probably one of the most outstanding choice (and delightful moment for redhead lovers).

Jean Charles De Castelbajac was the first on our list on that Tu

Paris Part three: models review from Atsuro Tayama, Issey Miyake, Marithé+François Girbaud, Ann Demeulemeester and Givenchy

by Maud & Pénélope . posted on March 09, 2009

Here comes our third part. Weekend review, from Friday morning till Sunday night. From Atsuro Tayama to Givenchy. Let’s start where we started, Palais de Tokyo. We went a bit late, just in time for the show. Natural light and white stairs were the first visual highlights of this day. Eniko was the second when she opened. So nice to see her again and again, after all these seasons in Paris. We remember her so well on her early days and couldn’t tell you enough how much she hasn’t changed, hasn’t lost anything of this raw energy and good vibrations that caught our attention at Guy Laroche two years ago. Other girls at Atsuro Tayama include Myf Shepherd, Constance Jablonski, Anna Gushina, Denisa Dvorakova, Kamila Filipcikova, Laura Blokhina, G

Paris Part two: models review from Lie Sang Bong, Hiroko Koshino and AF Vandevorst

by Maud & Pénélope . posted on March 05, 2009

High, low. High and low. Second day in Paris provided us with a wide range of emotions, from our ecstatic mood of the morning to a real will to reach our bed again right now. A good day during fashion weeks is one of these days you learn, you love and learn to love. This is how it went on this rather sunny thursday of early March. Lie Sang Bong was the first show of the day and was held in that lovely hotel, one of the few places of the fashion world where toilets aren’t considered either as luxury or secondary. The collection was great, tiger prints, metallic fabrics and metallic tiger prints. Wide shoulders then extra-wide shoulders and you’ve got the main idea of the silhouettes. No better choice than Emma Karlsson to open it with her sh

Paris Part one: models review from Kris Van Assche, Peachoo + Krejberg and Estrella Archs

by Maud & Pénélope . posted on March 04, 2009

First day in Paris, three shows, three different castings. And a lot of beautiful brunettes with brows. No major overwhelming trend, though. More some personal choices by picky designers. First one on our list was Kris Van Assche who booked some of the most thrilling models currently in town, including Gracie Carvalho and Bojana Reljic who were among our recent Lexposed Faces. And did well in New York this season. Next to Gracie was another stunning Brazilian (or brazilian stunner ?) Lovani Pinnow, just arrived after a sensational season in Milan. Other cuties in this team were Lucyna Amszej (another Lexposed Face), Nika Lauraitis and IMG’s very own Belle who’s definitely one to remember. Unique look meets outstanding attitude meets sweetes

La Mariée était en Rouge

by Maud Lemoine posted on January 27, 2009

La mariée était en rouge. The bride was in red. All in red. Bright red. First show we attended was Stephane Rolland. Checking backstage, checking on the runway. Alyona Osmanova opened and closed – with that gorgeous red dress that will probably stay in our minds as one of the best Couture moments of January 2009. So, what about the casting ? Some great surprises, some innovative mood with a touch of classicism. Overally, a good mix of well-known faces, almost newbies and couture specialists à la Natalia Belova or Anna Chyzh. Highlights were called Bojana Reljic, Andressa Borba, Aida and Ieva Aniulyte. Some fresh faces with safe potential – no risky looks in Haute Couture. No daring 5’8"5 cutie walking down the runway but classic beauties wi
