Paris Part one: models review from Kris Van Assche, Peachoo + Krejberg and Estrella Archs
by Maud & Pénélope . posted on March 04, 2009First day in Paris, three shows, three different castings. And a lot of beautiful brunettes with brows. No major overwhelming trend, though. More some personal choices by picky designers. First one on our list was Kris Van Assche who booked some of the most thrilling models currently in town, including Gracie Carvalho and Bojana Reljic who were among our recent Lexposed Faces. And did well in New York this season. Next to Gracie was another stunning Brazilian (or brazilian stunner ?) Lovani Pinnow, just arrived after a sensational season in Milan. Other cuties in this team were Lucyna Amszej (another Lexposed Face), Nika Lauraitis and IMG’s very own Belle who’s definitely one to remember. Unique look meets outstanding attitude meets sweetest personality. We love her and so does the camera.
Next step after a quick break at the café around the corner, Peachoo + Krejberg. Bojana was there again as well as another of our favorites for this season: Madisyn Ritland (currently in Jalouse and ready to keep the pace after New York and Milan). Other girls who made their marks at the show and backstage were Olga Akhunova who seems on a good slope to turn into a timeless beauty. From newcomer a few seasons ago to her current classic-with-a-twist status, the girl is so poised, so professional. And so friendly. She’s larger than life and she’s for real, belonging to our best fashion week memories forever. Uliana Tikhova and Pernille Moeller were so precious looking like their outfits were designed for them and Aida Aniulyte simply turned us upside down during our four-minutes-and-a-half convo after the runway.
Last step then back to bed, Estrella Archs. Awesome again. Tallulah Morton, Charlotte Hoyer, Angelika Kocheva, Aminata… we loved them all. Even more our two recent Lexposed girls Edythe Hughes and Ragnhild Jevne. Our favorite turned out to be the short-haired beauty from Ford Paris: Shaina Danziger. Attitude on the catwalk. So special, almost controversial and definitely an amazing choice of the casting director and designer: she was perfect for her dress. Bringing a touch of life and a touch of darkness. What a character. Tomorrow is another busy day but we’re living for the girls we’ve seen today. Quite the greatest way to start a week in Paris.
