THE GIRLS are re-emerging British artists Andrea Blood and Zoe Sinclair who reformed their award-winning collaboration in 2006 after a hiatus of 7 years. The Girls began working together at Central Saint Martins School of Art in 1996, ever since their main focus has been photographic self-portraiture. The Girls have exhibited at The Photographers' Gallery, The ICA, The National Portrait Gallery, Beverley Knowles Fine Art, and the Los Angeles Center of Digital Art. The Girls met aged 16 at a girls grammar school in Dorset. Whilst on a foundation course at Bournemouth's Arts Institute, both were cherry-picked for Saint Martins. Nicknamed 'The Girls' by the photography department, they began collaborating in 1996 during their first year at Saint Martins. LONDON EVENING STANDARD "I loved self-portraits by The Girls - Andrea Blood and Zoe Sinclair - at Beverley Knowles Fine Art. Sexy, irreverent post-feminism. Think Angela Carter crossed with Cindy Sherman." Liz Hoggard
