After many seasons of Mini Anden’s presence in the Armani Code fragrance ads, it appears that the torch has finally been passed to Anja Rubik. Giorgio Armani tapped the Polish beauty as the star of the latest campaign for the legendary fragrance, and while the photoshopping done on her is somewhat questionable, there is still no question that the smoky-eyed Anja conveys the never ending allure of both the photo and the perfume.

Today we pay a visit to the SS05 campaign for Etro, which more than successfully incorporated the concept of “smoke screen” with the most print-centric brand in high fashion. Despite the shots being frozen in time, the soft fabrics and rich coloring seem to jump off the page, since Stephane Sednaoui’s upward perspectives and Natasa Vojnovic’s dynamic posing help the ads resemble captures of a wild flower dancing in the fog. The richness of the outfits are very enhanced, with even the slightest detail visible to the naked eye despite countless shadows surrounding it. And though Anna stands alone and motionless, there is

For its first print marketing effort, a simple yet elegant FW09 campaign represents the renowned New York house of Derek Lam. Photographer Sølve Sundsbø showcases model Karmen Pedaru from a bird’s-eye view, distorting our perspectives and drawing special attention to the accessories and shoes. A large shadow encompasses the majority of the ad, providing the otherwise sepia theme and creme-colored label with aesthetic balance. Despite its homogene

A familiar creative staff returns to polish up Giorgio Armani’s FW09 campaign: from photographers Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott and stylist Katy England to makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury and hair stylist Luigi Murenu, it’s easy to see the similarities between the new campaign and that of SS09. Like most FW ads, however, the images are still darker - a perfect style for classic-looking mo
