Elza Jo is a young Dutch photographer currently rising to popularity, with a fresh, funny, and funky style. Think Bernhard Willhelm meets Napoleon Habeica meets Jeremy Scott- that‘s what I do.  

Juxtaposing neon- and pastel infused drawings on awesomely composed photographs of pretty people doing nasty, funny, or just plain strange things, Elza Jo‘s pictures are sexy and provocative, but above all humorous.

Fusing the disgusting with sexy, she moreover channels the spirit of Terry Richardson- if we were to replace the porn with more of a powerpuff motif.

Unlike your average clipart edited slideshows of snooze amongst the wonders that YouTube has to offer you (you know, the really bland ones you watch of total strangers until you suddenly realize what you‘re doing and feel like a perv and violated yourself) this photograph montage actually functions as integral to the voice of the piece. Grated memory tinged with shame.. it so serenely captures your classic sunday hangover conceding to too much fun the nights before. I heart Elza Jo.
