LaLa Berlin – Dark Side Of The Moon

by Liz McGrath posted on January 29, 2009

LaLa Berlin is a brand famous for it’s luxury knitwear, and that’s exactly what they started off the show with. With a colour palette that started off entirely black, models came down the runway in a mixture of fantastic sculptural chunky knit wool sweaters and extremely delicate, finely-woven knits that had almost sheer panels in them. These were paired with leather trousers or leggings that had

Strenesse Blue: Well-behaved clothes for well-behaved people

by Liz McGrath posted on January 29, 2009

The show got off to a cool start, with the catwalk lit up acquamarine-blue and a trumpet player coming out and playing a jazz song live on stage. Kaviar Gauche: The Naked Truth

by Liz McGrath posted on January 29, 2009

It was a full-house that turned out to see the Kaviar Gauche show and after the first model walked the runway, every jaw in the room had surely hit the floor. The models walking down the runway were all practically naked – all that protected their modesty was flesh coloured panties, a long fringed necklace and extra long dramatic hair extensions which hung over the shoulders and all the way down t

Joel Horwitz and Julia Knüpfer win Designer For Tomorrow

by Liz McGrath posted on January 30, 2009

So, we’re happy to say that the two designers who won Designer For Tomorrow were also who we predicted would win! Joel Horwitz and Julia Knüpfer were the first class winners! Joel’s fantastic bright blue suit with neon stripes and an irridescent sheen looked fabulous on the catwalk and his structured tracksuit with a cool graphic black and white print on it also stood out a mile from the competit
