Lexposure's Model Rankings for September 2009: A Fresh Start
by Lexposure Rankings posted on September 03, 2009Before the SS10 ready-to-wear season begins, we take a look at how summer has treated the top girls in the industry. For most who made it into our September top 25, the past few months were quite prolific. High-profile covers, issue dedications, and various 30-plus page editorials later, the point totals were calculated, and Raquel Zimmermann emerged as the winner, using her campaign bookings to sneak past Sasha Pivovarova’s editorial prowess. Of course, the likes of Lara Stone, Anna Maria Jagodzinska, Natasha Poly, Anja Rubik, and the rest of the top 10 all made significant impacts, and as the new in-demand girls, we expect to see plenty of them all around in the upcoming period. But we should not forget the newcomers either - Constance Jablonski leads the way, with Jac and Dree Hemingway lingering not too far behind (Not to mention the many names who just missed the rankings as well). One thing is for sure, if the Fall/Winter season is anything like Summer, we’re going to have a very intense competition for the top come December.
On the men’s side, many, many surprising faces make significant debuts - so we will just let you see for yourself instead of naming them all. However, worthy of note from the new crowd are two European duos - the Austrian pair Philipp Bierbaum and Gerhard Freidl, and the Belgians, Benoni Loos and Thomas Hoefnagels. With strong campaigns and incredible runway seasons, they are definitely doing their respective countries proud.
From here on out, the Lexposure Rankings will be presented once every three months (Hence the June - September wait) in order to provide even more comprehensive, encompassing results. See you in December as we wrap up 2009!
