Born in 1944 in Le Havre, France, Patrick Demarchelier moved to New York City in 1975. Since then Patrick has contributed to nearly every major fashion magazine including British, French and American Vogue, Newsweek, Elle, Glamour and Rolling Stone Magazine. He became premier photographer of Harper’s Bazaar and shot many advertising campaigns such as Ralph Lauren, Cutty Sark, Calvin Klein, Farrah Fawcett shampoo (1978) and the Brooke Shields doll (1982). Demachelier was also awarded for the 2005 Pirelli Calendar and is infamously referenced in the 2006 movie ‘The Devil Wears Prada’.
